cooper trendsetter tires
« on: November 17, 2006, 09:12:45 PM »
any one have any input about cooper trendsetter tires?  i just got a set of 225/75r/15's and so far think they're pretty good.  damn good on wet roads but i haven't had them off road yet so i'm curious.  i don't plan on any DEEP mudding or anything like that just some light trails/hills/mud.

mike

oh incidentaly i overheard the guys at the garage while taking my tires off saying about my old tires where "the worst set of tires they've ever seen"  lol :P

I check them oput and the looking perty passive for off-roading
The only coopers (dicoverers a/t)I've ever tryed is on my D.D.
I'm sure they would do Okay but I wouldn't try mudding in them.

I have used Cooper tires for years,I have 31's on my jeep grand cherokee and they work great. They pull me and my family thru some deep azz snow pulling a 2 sled trailer with no worries. My poopyear wranglers always got slick and stuck. They wear like iron and grip graet in wet weather. No complaints here.....I also have 35's on my chevy pick em up in the m't series with just as good results.

I've used Cooper tires for about 20 years, and my Dad before that even I think.  I have a set of Discover At's on my Tracker, they are an excellent tire for all around use, dd, rain, snow.  Very happy withthe wear on them too, I just rotated them at 15,000 miles because the edges finally started to feather.  You'll like yours too, my boss has a set of I think Trendsetters on his XL-7, wear like iron, great traction.  Have fun with them.   Dave ;D

Air them down to 10/12 lbs and you'll be able to get into lots of trouble.  ;D

Go with a clevis or two, a couple tow staps, and a friend in another rig to help you get back out of trouble.

Air them back up before you get on the highway though.
