Introduction

What's up guys?!

Been lurking around for a while now, but hadn't registered.  Finally finished my Track/Kick so I thought I'd register and say hello. Here's my story if anyone cares...

I drive a Nissan 240sx which is the little brother to the 300zx (rear wheel drive 2 door fastback).  I've had it for about 4 years now, and whenever winter time rolls around, things get a little iffy.  If there's slick stuff on the road, it doesn't go anywhere but sideways.  I'm also just getting underway building my spare motor for it......TURBO.  After the motor/all the exterior stuff and new paint, I'm definitely not taking it out in the winter. So I figured it was about time I picked up something else to drive.  A buddy of mine had a 93 Tracker with a 3" body lift that I liked but he didn't wanna sell it.  So, I started looking for one.  Never found anything to suit me, and I finally hounded him enough to let it go.  So I picked it up for $800 with 30"x9.50X all terrains on it (already had a 2 pc hard top too!).  Only downside is that it was "Magenta Metallic"...otherwise known as PINK.  There wasn't a straight body panel on it, so my dad and I decided to turn it into a project.  We pulled all the dents and bondo'ed what needed to be bondo'ed.  I trimmed the front fenders and put on a set of fender flares from JC Whitney.  Then we ruffed the whole truck up with 40 grit and coated it with 3 coats of HERCULINER roll on bedliner.  I picked up a set of white "wagon wheels" (15"x8") from a friend (off of their Bronco which now has Classic II's) for $40.  Stripped them down with Aircraft Stripper and painted them black and cleared them,  put a couple of coats of black on the tops, and ordered my tires.  Picked up a set of 31"x10.50" OTR Muds from High-Tec-Retreading (http://high-tec-retreading.com/) and got them mounted and balanced just yesterday.  She's all done, and we took her out last night for a while (me and my girlfriend and dad and my stepmom).  Everyone loved it!!  Anyway...just thought I'd share a little about myself...

Sorry this was sooooo long...didn't realize how much I had typed!

I'll try to post some pics when I get around to it.

Thanks for looking,
Bryan ;D

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!  I forgot my digicam the day we Herculined it, so I ran to CVS and picked up a disposable camera w/ picture CD.  I need to take a few pics of it now since it's done, and when I get them developed and get that CD, I'll post them ASAP...can I get someone to tell me how to upload pics here, I'm sure I can figure it out, but I remember seeing something about a member creating an upload site somewhere...If someone could tell me how to do that, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Bryan

Anyone know the site I'm talking about...not photobucket, I think it was something to do with eye irritant or something...  Anyway, got the pics last nite, just haven't had time to get them on here...will do ASAP.

Yeah,

I'm starting to notice I just want to keep spending more and more $$$ on it, when it's supposed to be something to drive while I sink $$$ into my 240sx...

Yeah, I got my 95 Sidekick 2-door on E-bay for 2,950, in January, 2002.

Since then, I've conservatively spent $10,000 on mods.  Well, actually, I'm sure it's probably more, but that's what I have on the spreadsheet for my auto-insurance agent.

On the other hand, if you built a Jeep similarly, you would have spent probably twice as much, or more.
