how big of tires

how big of tires

does any one know how big or tires i could run on a stock sidekick with out any rubbing

Should be a thread around here somewhere on this. But it really depends on your ride height. 235/75/15 or 235/70/16 is the largest that most people on here post as being on stock rigs. Take your rig into a tire dealer usually they can mount up a tire or two for you to look at. :)

yeah, 235/75R15 is about the biggest you can fit without rubbing on a 2 door. on a 4 door, they might rub a little in the rear. hope that helps

yea that helps but are sure because right now i have 26" tires on my 2 door sidekick and it looks like i could fit alot bigger tires than a 28"

235/75 is closer to 29" than 28. It's 28.8". Just remember, if this isn't a true poseur-mobile you want it to be able to flex some too. I'm lifting mine 1.5" and putting on 235/75's, but mainly because it was a great deal ($100 for 4 tires) and I didn't want any rubbing or trimming.

well, on mine, the 235's only rubbed the front fenders sometimes at full lock while flexing with no lift.

I have 30X9.50"s On my stock 91 Kick on a 15x7 Rim with not problems

Got pics of that? lock to lock?

I had worn 30's on 15x7's with 1" coil spacers and mine rubbed in the rear of the front well, I had to trim.  They also touched the top of the rear fender when flexed.
However, I do have a friend using 30's on stock 5.5" rims with no lift, and mild rubbing, but the 7" rim changes things, also some 30" tires really only measure 29"

I put some 225/75R15s on mine and they work great(especially for being WAL MART tires). The tires I got are the Uniroyal Liberator A/Ts and they costed about $62 a piece (compared to the 80 a piece for the Yokohama Geolandar A/Ts I was going to get).
