what type of tread are you looking for? and what size are you thinking you would like to run you could fit 30x9.50 easy maybe 31's flex may be a problem.
you could get some retreads for under 500 for 4. don't remember what company but they advertise in the back of petersons off road.

A little more information would be good so that proper advise can be given :)

Calminis Custom Vitara has 2 1/2 inch suspension and 3 inch body with 31 10/50s and still has enough room for flex. and My old stock sam had 30 9/50s on it. so Im thinking 30 950s would be plenty with out the body lift.  any bigger than that and youd have to do a body lift to be able to clear 31's with out rubbing.  30 9/50s should be fine if your not doin any serious rock climbin. Best bet would be to talk to your local tire shop and they would be able to give ya the tire you need according to your wheeling needs.

Correct me if i'm wrong here guys.

Well all the tire shops around me don't carry jack for off road tires, so you may be wrong.

Also wider tires bog down easier in mud.

Dunno about retreads but my personal research put Interco Super Swampers (TSL's) as the cheapest tire by size.  Heavy testing proved their value yesterday  >:D  their noisy as hell on pavement, but they handled the stickiest mud I could find, as well as some large rocks and a few steep climbs, oh yeah and the sand pits, all with ease.

not sure about where you live but in WA getting this size tire for this price doesn't happen.

has 33x12.50x15 mud terrain tires for $80 each. I know that the 31x11.50 ltb's can sell for this but not 33's. :)

But I would recommend super swampers as well I love my ltb's.

Do you do alot of highway, road driving, or is it a daily driver? I wouldnt spend alot of $$ on say swamper or some other tires, they wear down.  I bought some baja MT's 31x10.5 from fleetfarm for under 100.00 each.. they have over 10k on them mostly road driving, and still have  95 or so % tread left...

31x11.5x15" swamper LTB's.  They are super cheap (Even for swampers), wider than the usual 31x10.5 and everyone I've ever spoken to who has them loves them, though most say you need to break them in a little or they tend to be stiff in the sidewall.  Usually running w/ no air at slow speeds on grass for a little while does the trick.  I've got a set of 33" LTB's waiting to go on my Sammy and I can't wait.

The only catch is your 15x7" rims are too narrow for them.  you'd need to get a set of 15x8's

WHAT?  ;D I have to disagree, I guess this is going to come down to personal preference, some older people don't like these because they can be a little noisy, but I, and most of my Toyota driving friends think these are a great All Terrain tire, and wouldn't turn back to anything else for a DD/Wheeler(unless changing to a MT). We get the oportunity to drive in snow, mud, sand and highway all in the same day, these tires don't suck, and they're not cheap.

BFG AT's are loud!?!?!?!? :D Maybe I've lost so much of my hearing from over-exposure to swamper noise that I can't here whatever noise the AT's make.  The only problem with AT's is they tend to clog up in the mud.  They are awesome in the sand and nice on the rocks though.

Yeah my Track is a DD, I'm most likely getting BFG AT's on my stock rims to use as "highway tires" mainly for the long trips I occasionaly take and the short trek to work if I don't plan on getting real messy.  Saving the SSRs for when I want to play will mean they'll be on a lot more often than the ATs.

Yeah, most tire shops here out east dont carry SSRs at all or BFG Mud Terrians any bigger than 235/75.  I called quite a few places and nobody mentioned retreads of those patterns either.
