I need to set my valves on my sammy it has a 1.3 in it and I need to know what the valve lash is and what procedure it is done in . I cant find anything on the net if anybody could send me a link I would appreciate it.

i can do as good as clearances

8 valve engine

Intake:
Cold....................0.005 to 0.007 inch
Hot......................0.009 to0.011 inch

Exhaust:
Cold.....................0.006 to 0.008 inch
Hot.......................0.010 to 0.012 inch

just valve clearances

Do a search for fsm

There you will find the '88 FSM in three pdf files with detailed instructions on how to position the cam for intake and exhaust valve lash setting along with the lash values that amilla posted above.

There are almost 300 other searchable links to zukin' info for you, too!
