Power steering pump
« on: December 11, 2006, 11:38:38 AM »
Hello i'm new on this cite, so I hope this works.  A friend of mine has a Geo Tracker and I think i can take the power steering off it and put it on my 88 sammy.  What is the best way to do that.   I don't want to buy the calimini kit, its to expensive.  Any advice?  Thanks

Make your own swap kit.  You need a bracket to mount the PS pump to the engine, a bracket to mount the steering box on the frame (or you can drill 2 holes in the frame (you reuse 1 existing hole), and sleeve them, to mount the box), and a pulley for the crankshaft to run the PS pump.

Or if you have no fab skills like me you can buy one from calmini or sky's or trail tough.

Just look under steering.

good luck
