Hey guys,
I need to get a new rear third member. Right now I am running the whole set out of a sidekick with the ABS sensor but I have in hands my stock third without the ABS sensor, will the ring & pinion with the ABS sensor fit the stock third without the ABS things?
                             Thanks

I am 99% sure that the ring and pinions are the same (and interchangeable) whether it has ABS or not.  I think the complete thirds will interchange too.

Yep, Skyhiranger is correct.

I just swapped out a rear dif on my '93 'Kick and one of the problems that we had in finding the right unit was the gear ratio and the rear ABS feature.  It turns out that rear ABS was added in the middle of the '93 model year (at least on the 4-door JLX).

We could have installed the first dif. but it did not have the ring, sensor and sensor hole in the case so I waited a few days while an ABS-equipped dif. it was shipped in from another salvage yard.

It should bolt right on or, if you feel the urge, you can tear it down and remove the sensor ring... Nah!  ;D

Hope this helps!

If I remember rightly, the diference is that the ABS ring gear is machined to accept an ABS toner ring.

You can put non-ABS rings in an ABS kick, you just lose yer stock ABS.
