I have a Alpine CD stereo that came with my kick, but I did not use it much because the CD would skip on my dirt road and on other bumps. I won a video Ipod in a drawing, and I got a transmitter for it, and I can listen to my tunes without skipping. Problem is, now I noticed how poor the original speakers sound.

I have some 6X9's That I have had for a long but they have never been installed in anything before, they should do good for the back. What about the front? I dont want to spend a lot, and save up for mechanical improvements, I think it would not take much for the sound to be better than the speakers that are there. Would it be better to relocate the front speakers to the front bottom of the door? How about speaker wire? Does it need to be replaced? I will not be running a lot of power, I think the stereo is 45watts X 4 channels.
Any suggestions? I know all you younger guys are more into the audio aspects of these rigs than me.
Thanks
Jeff
