bionic ...

I know your frustrated by your fuel problem, but honestly it is probably a simple fix. Wish I was closer, I'd just pop over and put a fresh brain to the problem. I'd also ignore everything you said you'd checked out :) If I still didn't get it going, I'd buy it and part it out :)

SOMEONE, should step up and spend an afternoon sorting it out with ya. I'll even send along my zukiworld sticker to whomever steps up ...

One thing I've grown to luv about my tracker is how simple it really is (compared to some newer vehicles).
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it.

thanks a lot man. i checked the fuel pump hardwired to the battery and it fired. but whenever i clipped it back to the harness after a new relay it still didn't pump. i know every electrical system on a vehicle is run off of 12-14 volts. but whenever i got a reading from the harness it only showed 1 volt dc power. meaning there wasn't enough to power the fuel pump. im 98% sure that once i get enough power to the pump i won't have any more issues. i just really can't get it running now for 1. 2 i gotta put the whole fuel tank back on. and 3 im strapped as financially as i can possibly go. my 03 eclipse was vandalized with over 10k in damage. i have a 92 cavalier that is having massive stahling issues *even though it's an auto*. and with all i've put into this thing i just want it reliable. i dont know what could be causing an intermettant problem with the power supply. it didn't do it all the time but whenever it died in my driveway and wouldn't start my heart just sank..now i really don't know what else to try other than a new fresh custom power line for the tank exclusively and an in cab fuel cut off switch. if anyone has any other advice tomorrow's my day off and im going to probably end up working on it all day..or at least a really good portion of it..so im very much open to suggestions or advice  :-/

No suggestions or advise, just wanted to wish you good luck working on the car and also good luck with selling the car when you're really fed up with it !

I had the same thing with my Jaguar Trike, loved it to pieces, very cool vehicle, only 5 made, but every time I took it for a spin something else broke/went wrong/snapped. Everytime I told myself: "Now everything's okay, nothing to break anymore, it's all fixed now" and I was wrong every time. I finally decided to sell it with pain in my heart, but I have to be honest: I'm glad I did sell it, left me enough money to buy a Samurai and become part of this nice community.

Hope it all works out for you !

Hey onion man,
Don't give up on the Zuk if you don't have to.  I know what you're feelin'.  I'm outta work and the Lawdog is broke.  I thought for a bit about selling it, but then I figured, If I sell it the way it is(no clutch) I won't get the $$ I need out of it, and if I spent the time and $$ to make it right, then why sell it?  It looks like you got the same deal with your fuel pump.  Hang in there.  I'll put my head together with the rest of LMS and maybe we can give you a simple solution to your woes.  Lil' Red Sammi had the same problem with his Zuk.
On a side note, didn't insurance pay out for your eclipse? If they didn't then burn it and they'll pay out then(just kidding).
Good luck with whatever you do.  Try and hang in there, those pics you put up a while back looked like you know how to have some fun with a trucklet.

One thing I'd check ...

Pull the LH taillight, and disconnect the ground back there. I *think* that's the ground for the rear harness (which the fuel pump plugs into). Test the continuity from the ground wire to the plug that the pump plugs into. Clean up the mount point and ring and reattach. Inspect that ground ring too (corrosion, frayed, etc).

Why dont you find a "key on" hot wire under the hood and run it with a fusable link back to the pump?

Thats how the Real Red Sammi was when we got it. The fuel pump was wired to the lighter and it kinda worked but would flood frequently. I don't know what my brother did to fix it but I know it was like $10 bucks  an afternoon and a 6 pack that got r done ;D I'll check with him and see what he's got :)

Do you still want that 4.3 trans and tcase ;D

LOL thanks for the words of encouragement guys. tomorrow is the day of reconning between me and the little trucklet. it's my knowledge of the working of a vehicle and knowledge of electrical and fixing things..against ...whatever this unknown foe is. to answer the other questions no my eclipse did not get fixed yet. finally after 6 months tomorrow the insurance company has hired a private mechanic to look at the engine to decide if it needs a new whole engine or not. the dealership where it's at now says it does so i beleive them. when i get the car back i might just try to sell it after the paint and all. shit..if i could have this tracker fully reliable i'd almost trade the eclipse just for that  ;). jk . well wish me luck tomorrow guys..if anyone's gonna be close to johnstown pa..ur welcome to stop by and pick at it with me :P

What year is this tracker i was having the same problem with my 91 GMC Tracker  and of course all 3 of my parts trucks (89 Geo, 90Geo &89 Sidekick) were no help because the fuel system is diff for pre 91 trackers. I even had a replaced the computer it turned out that my problem was my CT sensor it was sending wrong signal to ECM which inturn sent the wrong voltage to the fuel pump i put the sensor in and shes running great now
