i found a couple trackers cheap about 2 hours from me i can drive one home mayby gotta go check them out first but the other has to be towed i think i can get a car trailer buddy uses to haul his civic to the track not sure how much it weighs or rent one from u-haul but do u think a 5 speed 8v tracker could haul this trailer with a tracker on it?

anything is possible but i don't think you would have much of a clutch left after that, and if there are any hills you will need to use 4low

There have been a couple of threads about towing with Track/Kicks. It would seem that the legal towing limit for a Track/Kick in the US is considerably less than its own weight.

1000 lbs is pushing it for a Trackick. I would'nt do it.

I tow a small popup camper that weighs about a little over 1000 lbs fully loaded with gear.  It tows OK, but It takes a bit to get it moving and you have to make allowances for more braking distance. 

Towing a trailer with another Tracker on it would probably burn out a clutch in short order.  Somebody here posted pics a while back of a Tracker pulling another Tracker on a tow dolly (was it Zig, Digger, Zukipilot???) and said he had no problem with it.  A lot would depend on the terrain, the traffic and your skill.

i wouldnt do it

in my old side kick i used to tow a 1300 pound quad trailer, hard on the hills for sure, but seemed ok on flat ground, just gotta watch your stopping distances big time lol

i wouldnt do it. if you really want it, why not borrow a truck or rent one.  that way you wont kill yourself when you cant stop.

It was me. I used my silver 90 Tracker to tow home my green 93 Tracker on a tow dolly, probably at least 50 miles through the hills of western PA. Silver's running the 8v and 5 speed and was wearing 31" swampers at the time. I could only smell the clutch when pulling out, while I was running down the road, it was fine. Stopping distance is huge and I pissed off some big rigs on the up-hill parts cause I was moving slower than they were.

That said, the Tracker's recomended towing capacity is rated at 1000 pounds. You probably wont find a trailer designed to carry a car that weighs less than that empty! Your best bet would be to find a trailer big enough for both trackers and use a tow rig big enough to pull it.

The curb weight of a stock Tracker is right around 2500 pounds or so...

i checked my chilton repair cd and it says to find out the towing compacity muiltply the engines hp by 35. then subtract the weight of passengers and any cargo. the number that is left would be the max. about of weight a tracker can tow.  so if you have the 1.6l 16v motor multiply 98 by 35 which is 3430.then subtract passengers and cargo. say 400lbs for passengers and cargo which equals 3030lbs. keep in mind that weight includes the trailer, so if you have a car dolly thats what 400-500lbs? so 2530lbs is the most a car can weigh.

we tow a 500lb sled on a small utility trailer (400lbs?) with the 235 snow tires on it and that is about all i would tow with it. plus the gas mileage sucks huge with the sled on. its not as bad as the sled (6 - 10 mpg) but you sure notice a difference.

U.S. 1997 and later 4-Door Tracker claims 1,500 in door jam. Same for all 4-Doors (excluding XL-7) even V6.
