Front Axle Housing Oil Seals????
« on: January 25, 2007, 10:15:37 AM »
Hey all,

Where can I order the front oil seals for the axle housing???  I am putting in another front housing this weekend and the old oil seals that are in the housing look good but I usually don't like to take many chances while it is all apart.  I have called Kragen, Car Quest, Napa, and the Chevrolet dealer and none of them have the oil seals and only the dealer can special order them for about $30.00 a piece  :o  Last I check, these were just plan ole simple looking oil seals...nothing special.  Any advice on what to do?  I think I might just go with  the used ones that are alreading in the doner axle housing and hope that they don't leak.

I had the exact same problem!

I looked around, didnt come close to finding a cheap / easy solution...

I had to order the actual seals through a local suzuki dealer in the end... but they were'nt that expensive. i think i payed about £7 a seal, pain to fit though!

Okay, I just ordered some from Hawks Suzuki ;D  I can't give Hawk's enough props..whenever I've needed something, they have it and at a great price.  Both seals shipped to me were cheaper than what the dealer wanted for just one seal.  Awsome!

Great day in zuki land 8)
