I just got off the phone with them and they told me they have been so busy since christmas. She told me everyone is calling for the track/kick bumpers. She wasnt able to give me a price or tell me if they fit body lifted models or not for some bullshit reason >:( but she is going to e mail me with a complete quote for front and rear bumpers/w shipping.......so she says.

Goog looking bumpers though.

Taran, the fellow that runs BCC is a good guy. they are in Vancouver Canada and make good stuff. I wonder if they can make a 4 door rear bumper?  ;D

Those are some nice looking bumpers. Keep us informed when you get the quote and find out about the bodylift question.

You'd think they'd at least send a form letter on email saying they are swamped with requests blah blah yada yada , we'll get to yours ASAP.... instead of - no response...

If they can come in around 200-300 bucks instead of 600-800 for Shrockworks, ARB, and Calmini, I'm willing to give them a shot. That's a lot of money for a hunk of metal. In some cases more than people paid for their truck. Wish I had a welding/cutting setup or a buddy who did in AZ.

IMHO $200 - $300 is really unreasonable for a nice bumper. I am in the middle of building my rear bumper right now with a swing out tire rack and it is alot of work. You have to appreciate that not only are you paying for the material, but you are paying for the labour too. It's not just a matter of "whipping it together". It takes a fair amount of time.

My build costs (CAD) so far (materials only) are:

- Metal - $100
- spindle for swing out - $75
- handle - $45
- misc welding wire and gas $30
- bandsaw blade - $15
- 2 grinding disks - $6
- grade 8 bolts - $15
- 3 wheel studs - $10

Already I'm at $296 (CAD) or $251(USD) and that doesn't include all of my time.

Just something to think about...

Maybe they are having somewhat difficulty with the  person who answered the phone. She is also the one who responds to e-mails. I just hope they pull through and are resonable priced.
If they are like everyones else 500-700 range a piece, ill be spending that on a welder and a tube bender, to make my own.

I  think $200-400 is a resonable price. you have to remember these shops buy all their weld/cutt supplys and metal |removethispart|@ a bundle price(cheaper ) and their fabricators can build one in a couple of hours.
Ok the first desighn might take a while, but after they master it. Its realy easy and fast these pro metal fabricators are awsome.

I agree.  $200-$400 is a fair range.
$500-$700 is way too much.

I like the look of the bumpers, very clean and the winch is hidden.  As for the cost, I kinda agree with cable smurf.  By the time the producer covers their costs on materials, labor, business taxes, equipment and other business costs, paying $200 - $300 for a bumper of zuhwarrie quality is not very realistic.  I don't think they would make much profit on $200-$300 on a bumper.  Plus, without a reasonable profit, there is no incentive for these establishments build these great products as well as invest in new and innovative products.

My $0.02

Have a great day Zukifolks

Well...if you want cheap labour go to Mexico, or China....I'm sure you guys don't work for free. In my industry, if I make less than $500 for the day...it's a bad one.

Just saying you still have to pay your fabricators to build it, right? And fabricators are paid well, if not, they'll go somewhere else. And you can't run a business by giving stuff away. Why do you think TT charges so much for their SAS kit?

Yeah, it's tough to make a profit out there. And you would need to make a few in an assembly line fashion to make it worth selling under 400 I'm sure.

But reality for me is, before I part with 600-800 for a bumper. I'm going to be looking for other options for a while first, including getting the tools myself and make one. Then I'd have the tools for other things as well. I've got a bumper now, yeah it sucks, but I can live with it for $800. Anyway...  :P

I wish Rocky Road would show their "prerunner" bumpers, at least a pic of a prototype and a price goal also. Sounds like they take their testing seriously, they probably have to I guess to avoid excess liability issues. I'm sure people try to sue you also in that business as in every arena of Americana.

if you want pre runner style bumpers go to trailtough.

if that BCC bumper comes in under $500 with the tire carrier I will be shocked. $200-300 for just the bumper is a fair price.

I think the Trail Tough bumper is a great deal.  That is actually the front bumper I'll go with when I'm ready to purchase a more hardcore bumper than stock.
