Tell them you got in an accident and the old mounts broke and you need to replace them.

Don't e-mail them, call them Direct. If they say no, tell them you'll never buy their product again an you'll bash them on the internet. You words like customer service and Better Buisness Bueru...

They'll comprimise...it's no skin off thier butts to sell you the parts seperately.

If not, try BDS or Boondox, or even that dude of the internet that sells the over priced budget boost. someone will sell them to. you

This is exactly what is wrong with this industry.  Customers who try to lie and cheat to get their way and when they don't it's CALMINI sucks? Right?  It's no wonder they stay away from posting on these boards....jeez man...get a life.

NO, WHAT'S WRONG IS WHEN A COMPANY WON'T SELL A FEW "REPLACEMENT" PARTS TO SOMEONE BECAUSE THEY WANT ALL OF YOUR MONEY AND NOT JUST SOME OF IT. ALSO WHAT'S WRONG IS WHEN IT TAKES 5 MONTHS TO RECIEVE A LIFT KIT AND 8 MONTHS TO RECIEVE A STEERING STABILIZER. IF CALMINI WANTS TO SAVE THEIR REPUTATION, THEY SHOULD BE WILLING TO HELP A FEW PEOPLE OUT.

I PERSONALLY WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN BECAUSE OF THEIR SERVICE (OR LACK OF).

BTW: I DO THINK THEY HAVE A GOOD PRODUCT, BUT THAT'S NOT GOING TO SAVE THEM WHEN THE COMPETITION COMES KNOCKING.

NOW...YOU GET A LIFE.

you are suggesting to a new member in an open forum a course of action that is dishonest and deceitful :o. Calmini will at the least want to have the broken piece returned. They are fully within their rights to ask for this.

As for your time to receive the parts, 5 months actually isn't bad for Canadian customs on something that large and is hardly much Calmini's fault... ::) Even small packages containing coil spacers would take 4-5 times as long to get to canadian addresses as they would to get to even Hawaii... Of this I know from first hand experience! :P
Had a cool sig pic till I changed the text... sigh...

With my experience with 3 more inches being the start of bindage, I would say that the 1 to 2 inches you get out of flipping the mount is inside the danger zone.  I would also say that if you put a 2 inch spacer in front it will lift it 3 inches so you will lose an inch or 2 of down travel from stock.

You need to measure the amount of clearance that you have at full lock to lock, it makes a huge difference, also you need to make sure that the shaft isn't dropped into the spline as that gives a false reading too. I'm not saying your wrong but I don't know anyone else that would advice more than 1 1/2 to 2". I measured mine at a little over 2 ". I ran 2" strut spacers for 25k miles and a lot of off roading and never broke a CV, others, inculding Digger, have had problems with 2" spacers.
The strut top mount is only 1" thick and the mounting is offset so the total drop you get from it is only 3/4".
In stock form I only had around 2.5" of down travel, that was on a nearly new (6K miles) vehicle so it had good springs, you might have a bit more with older springs.
Personally I think that anyone doing their own mods should take a good luck at what they already have. Measure the wheel travel, measure the static sag, pull a spring off (it doesn't take long). Swing it from lock to lock and raise and lower the suspension at the same time. When you're confident you really understand whats happening then decide what mods are going to work and what isn't. Aim to keep at least the same amount of static sag as stock.
On the rear raise and lower one side at a time so you see the arc that the tyre travels in.

Yea, I agree.  I only have 1.5" spacers on my front, 2" in the rear.  I measured the Extenders and it was almost 3" longer.  it is too long.  with my 1.5" spacer(2.25"lift) I had about an inch of down travel without the extension, So if you put 2" spacers (lifting it 3") it would have little if any down travel.  I think that 2 inch more than stock drop is the safe limit, therefore I would only go with a 1.5" spacer and mount flip in the front to prevent damage and still have a little down travel left.

Yes they are. that doesn't mean it's good business.

This is not wven close to being right.

I have been into Jeeps for years and ordered parts from Rubicon express, Rockkrawler, Teraflex, Warn and many other big name companies and I have never had the slow crappy service I've recieved from Calmini. Boondox was wayyyy quick also.

Steve Kramer will laugh in your face, and tell you to "go for it".  He's not intimidated by people who want to gain the benefit of his development and manufacturing experience "for cheap".  You want the blue product, you gotta pay for the whole nine yards.  Deal with it.

I would complain to Calmini, but tell me...what good would it do since Steve Kramer would just "laugh in my face".

Okay, I'm done now.

as for the drop brakets go, try a machine shop, they may be able to help you. Or call BDS and see what they say.
