OK, debating on what to do about my clutch. Gonna be swapping my 4wd tranny for a 2wd version soon.

I want to swap out my clutch, pressure plate and T/O bearing.

So, do I get a cheapo one off e-bay for $100, or save my pennies and get a Centerforce Stage 1 (I think dual friction is too much for my application) for $220ish?

I guess it all depends on what your going to be doing with it, and how soon you want to put another clutch in.

Ive never had a problem with the OEM replacments.  :-/ I dont see the need for an upgrade.

Ive seen someone smoke a new centerforce very quickly where a stock clutch would have held up. Not to say that there bad, I have been told there not made to slip. He has BTW had a stock clutch with no problems since.

You have to break in the center force disk's a little longer than a stock one!  on the dual the stock type material will burn off a little then they will grab good. I run a puck(that's how I spell it) type clutch in my buggy and I like it alot, next time I will try one in my samurai, a three puck for racing should hold up good. oh ya make sure to have the flywheel ground not turned, the groves will help with the cooling.

I do some rocks, some mud. But more slow, technical stuff then not. Some road driving also, but not much.

The duel friction don't slip at all! When they don't slip at all, there's no give, it's pretty solid, which means more breakage for more fragile drivelines like mine!

:-/ I smoked two stockers whan I first statred wheeling the Kick, Added a Stage II Centerforce and it lasted 100K of wheeling, now I'm on my second Centerforce (probably will never but any thing but for now on)

If you plan on going from the 4wd sidekick transmission to the 2wd sidekick transmission, you will be able to use the same clutch, pressure plate assembly, and t/o bearing. So, I'd suggest getting the one you want because it'll be transferrable.

Them matching up wasn't my concern. Just wondering which one I should go with, since I knew both would fit, and since I'll have everything out, might as weel do the clutch!
