red hot exhaust manifold

i need to get a new o2 sensore for sure because the threads are gone and it popin out. but  i went to put it back in tonihgt and the manifold was glowing red. i knwo thats not normall. i check the back and shes blowing out fine? any ideas? would a new manifold/ header get rid of this or would i just write a header off if i bolted a new one on. HELP!!! please

If your not running it hard up a hill it's running lean, look for vac. leaks or a bad egr valve or your sucking air into the exhaust some how or your down pipe collapsed inside or your cat could be plugged ect.

    check timing out ive had this happen rotor out 90 deg melted my plugs be sure to check the condition of the plugs . could also be a pluged cat

i don't think its a plugged cat because it still flows fine out the back. but the o2 sensor does fall out so maby thats making it heat more then normal?
