go with the 1600 conversion .  easy to do and makes a big difference

i am going to pick up an 87 sammi on tuesday. i dont know what kind of extreme horse power im going to be looking at but i can imagine. so i am also interested in power upgrades.
your like a prize bass, i dont know weather to eat you or mount you.

Hello looks we we are in the same boat. All I have found is the 1.6 conversion from the tracker but that is about the only one that they say will bolt right up. If you find out anything else that will work please let me know. I also have a 87 zuki that needs some more hp. Thanks

All I have found is the 1.6 conversion from the tracker but that is about the only one that they say will bolt right up.

It doesn't quite bolt up. It needs an adapter plate or some fabrication. If you don't have a lift then you will need to modify the oil pan and pick up pipe. Try and get one with all the bits like the starter and alternator.
