I was thinking of sending my rear 3rd member to Brent at Trail Tough to install a ARB locker, them all I would have to do is install the air compressor, any tips. And where do I install the AC

mine is under the hood where the stock air cleaner was. my tank is underneath protected by skid plate

My mini-compressor (CKSA12) is between the air box and the master cylinder (right between the strut tower and the fender).  I removed the air intake pipe that comes from the fender to the air box and mounted it there.  It fits nice and tight, but i don't like having my air box so "open" now, that i'll probably move the compressor inside the cab somewhere.  I wanted to mount it inside the rear most panels on my 4-door, but that was too much work at the time, and i was in a hurry to install the locker and get it working.

If i could live with it, i would have removed the windshield washer bottle and mounted the compressor there, but then there's no where to mount the bottle.  It's a catch 22 as there isn't really a whole lot of room under the hood to work with.

Is there enough room next to the battery, I have the 1.6 ( 8 v ) so my air cleaner is on the drivers side.

Also does the air run all the time or just fill up the line,

Next question, does this thing really fill up tires or does it take like 30 min per tire and burn up the motor – I guess I am referring to the one mentioned above compact.

The compressor fills up to 100psi to charge the compressor, then cuts off, until the pressure is released and then it will turn itself back on and recharge.  This is only when you turn the compressor on, so you'd really only have it on while you're offroad.

You'll need the RDCKA if you want to fill up tires.  It will fill up 30" tires ok, but no, it's not the greatest in the world for filling up tires.

I don't know about the other side and if there's enough room to mount it there.

i'll take a pic tommorrow.  my pump is a quick-air 2.  mounted right next to the batt.  plenty of room.  drivers stde has a second batt.  it helps to have the tank.  mine is 6" round  x  24" long.

what is the green hose infront of the air compresser, also will the bigger one that fills tires fit there also, thats where i was thinking of putting mine.

thats my air hose. did a friends at the same time, bought an oxygen/actetyltne hose
he got act, I got oxy. the other day I filled a bobcat tire from flat to 65lbs in 4 1/2 minutes.
when I go rockcrawling drop my tires to 8 takes about five minutes to put all 4 back to 18.

You also said you have a CKSA12 with a tank and you were filling up tires, so which way should I go?

we got our on sale for 169.00  thats why we went with them.  not sorry though  works
great. if your gonna get a comp. might as well get one that will do everything you need.
when you get it its easy to find a mounting place. try here . try it there. with the tank
it doesn't run so much. mine pumps up to 105 , then kicks back on at 82.  make sure your
air lines are all tight no leaks.  that way its not running so much.

found where we got our compressors. cheaper than most places and they shipped right away.
