Where would I post this?
« on: March 12, 2007, 10:12:40 PM »
Any thoughts on getting a Sammy specific forum going? I just read the Zuki forum and it was mostly kick stuff. After reading 3 pages, I gave up reading as it really did not help me. I really can not use extended A arms as I have a solid axle, things like that.

I do not mind reading about the 'kick but when I am looking for info on the Sammy, I get worn out weeding through useless info.

Do not take this wrong all of you as I may be picking up a 'kick this summer and then will be looking for info in it.

Well I think it would be a great idea to have different sections,
One for samurai's and one for track/kicks:IFS section. That would be alot easier then searching and weeding through topics just like phloop said.

but i can have a topic on there for days without a response /\

I like it here because everyone is in one spot, therefore more people see the post and have the chance to read it.

Thank you for the suggestion. It is ideas from people using the forum that help the site evolve and become more useful. As for the specific suggestion of splitting up the out of production models into specific forums, that probably won't happen. One thing that I have been kicking around though is creating a faq forum for the older vehicles but this idea needs 'fleshed out' a bit and would require some user volunteer time.

Thanks again for your input, -Eric

Uummmmm..........no I didn't. I am not searching for anything.

I was just wondering about a seperate sub-forum for the Samurai that way I can read about specific topics instead of having to weed through 30 postings on the track/kick looking for anything about the Sammy. I will see something interesting and go too read it and it has nothing at all to do with my rig.

Eric, a FAQ might be ok but what I was wondering was about a specific sub-forum so that the topic would just be about either the Sammy or the track/kick's. No big deal but it would be nice.

Thanks any way.

phloop send me an pm when you have a question about sammis I've had my 86 since about 92 and have done alot a couple lifts on it and swap to toy motor and running gear so I've done a little work on them but am always willing and open minded enough to learn more. What I don't know my buds will they have been wheelin for 35 years and have built more rigs than I could ever think of so if you have a question don't hesitate.  8)
when in doubt gas it!!

About having a samurai section, instead of having its own section.  Couldnt it be that when you go to post a new topic, thers an option of samurai, tracker, sidekick..and so on.

So when people are looking through they can just see it its a sammi or kick/track topic.
like there could be a little picture of a sammi or kick next to the topic.

if that made any sence at all haha.

Just an idea

costa 05, thanks but I really do not have to many questions on the Sammy. I have had a Zuki since 93 or 94 myself. The '88 I have I picked up in '95, stated modding it a month later. I am sure I will have a few here as soon as I get ready to drop the 1.6 in and do the wrangler spring conversion.

I appreciate the offer but what I was really wondering about was a split in between the Sammy's and the kick/track's. I guess the main thing is I am getting tired of weeding through all the track/kick BS just to read something on the Sammy.
