or a hawk cam? I would like to know how they perform as well? I would guess cam and header should make a noticable increase in power for the 8V?

I just bought ( but have not received yet ) a rebuilt head with a Calmini cam. Once it's installed I'll let you know what I think.

It's going on/in the engine after I receive the Weber 32/36 DGAV I bought from a guy in the US, he sent it to MidWest Performance ( Sarge ) who is going to set it up for bolting it on my Sammi with one of his flowed intakes. I also bought headers, so all the changes at once will make  difference I hope  

[edit]Well, that plan changed a bit since I bought the Camden SuperCharger 2days ago , but I will still use that head with the Calmini cam, shave the head just a little, I just have to take in all the advise I can find on the Internet and all the advice from people "in the know" to make my final plan [/edit]

Same here  

did the isky cam in the 1.6 8V and noticed nothing.

did the isky in a 1.6 w/1.3 head and pony carb, very torquey between 2200-3500 rpm, lots of pull

driven a 1.3 with the isky and dt header and noticed a big improvement torque in a wider rpm range

my conclusion, not worth it for the 1.6 8V. try this guy he's in BC so it'll be a bit cheaper for ya

Yeah im thinking of getting the HAWK cam and shave the head .20thou.

And hope to see some gains. Cause motor swap is not in my option.

Thats like $160 more than a Summo II and aside from a new rocker shaft, It's about the same thing.

Anyone what u guys think about the HAWK cam?

im thinking of taking the head off shave it .20th and changing the valve stem seals and putting the cam and some slight port work. Hawk cam

for that kind of money just get a used 16 valve and be done with it!
