I'm not sure about the performance gains exactly, but the K&N sticker will give you at least 75rwhp.  Hope this helps.

You may notice a little with the exhaust, probably no change with the K&N (that was my experience with my 1.6L, but I still like using a reusable filter), but you may want to Search old posts.  Probably, most would recommend changing gears rather than engine mods.

waste of money. long as you got a good clean filter in it, it'll be good.

I am going to get a reusable/washable element for my Tracker eventually, but the K&N system ain't worth it. I just like being able to reuse it, and not throw away, and buy another.

Like the others I would say do other improvments first!if you have the stock down pipe on your rig that would be the first place that I would look, they are double wall and the inside wall collapses on them and shuts off the exhaust way befor the cat.the next would be to get rid of the vacuum diffuser on the carb for the secondary(little black round thing with a line on each end next to carb) next I would go to a lighter tire, those things are heavy for the street, 4 t0 1 x-fer case gears will help alot or get some 5.12's in the diffs.

I went to replace my air filter and around here the K&N was cheaper than a stock replacement.

So how bad is your air cleaner?

Ã‚  Thanks for your advice I am in the process of putting the exhaust on. The advise for the gears I've known for a while I've got a set of 4:1 Calmini T-Case gears Just have been wrking too much to get them in. I really need to it hates those big heavy tires especially in the mud and dont try t do any type of crawling. Anyways Thanks for the advise.
