Trail Tough stockists?
« on: April 03, 2007, 02:08:33 PM »
As the title suggests, are there any shops that are Trail Tough stockists? I want to get some gears sent to Australia but TT only send UPS which is not cheap  plus it means a customs declaration is lodged and I can be liable for duty and tax but if goods under a set limit are sent by post I don't get hit like that. USPS is almost as quick as UPS and a whole lot cheaper. Basically I need a shop that will post me some Trail Tough gears. Can anybody suggest one?

Thanks,
CJ

Stockist:  One who stocks or sells a product by a manufacturer. Dealer.

"Petroworks is a stockist for the Calmini line of Samurai Suspension components."

Salesman at door: "May I speak with your mother, sonny?"

Boy: "She ain't here."

Saleman: "My, what grammer!"

Boy: "She ain't here neither!"

Also (to draw the comedic focus away from our offshore brethern),  stockist is a brand of canned tuna in Boston.

To answer the question, you might ber able to call TrailTough and see if they will ship what you want to buy via the USPS/Royal Post.

I recently sent a set of Samurai upper door frame braces to vancouver BC via USPS and it worked quite well.  The distance and shipping time might be a bit longer in your case, but I image the results will be to your satisfaction.

Unfortunately Trail Tough only wish to ship UPS evn though I have explained why I would prefer it to be posted. This lifts the cost substantially as the increased shipping costs and customs clearance will ensure that I also have to pay duty and tax that I wouldn't have to if the items were posted as we have a limit that if the total cost of goods and shipping are under it won't require customs clearance, duty or tax to be paid plus the shipping costs are cheaper by post and the speed is almost the same, maybe a couple of days difference. Hopefully I can find a vendor who sells Trail Tough products that is willing to post to me.

how about asking someone off the forum if they are near a TT stockist to get the gears for you, and post them to you themselves, however you like.

maybe the little difference in cost, or a little of the savings can go to the good fella who sends the stuff to you.
