charcol evap canister removal

Anyone know what the consequence's of removing the charcoal evap canister on a 95 16v Tracker might be? I've removed a couple of 'em on bikes before without any problems but I'm not really sure about these Suzuki trucks. If it can be removed without causing any engine drive-ability issues I'd like to know what anyone has done with the lines (vacume and vent.) I guess I can also re-locate it if I have to but I'd just like to remove it. Need the space for another component. I'm not concerned with emissions, I can always re-install it in 2 years when I have it checked again. Thanks for any input. Ps, searched the archives on this subject and found no answers.

OK, found some more threads in the archives, and it looks like it can be removed. Anyone done it care to comment? Thanks
