on my sidekick, i just ran some exhaust tube into the round rear crossmember and made some removable pins, then atached some mudflaps to them

just go by a truck stop and look at the ones on semi's (18 wheelers) they have a small bracket that bolts on the frame and has like a 1/2" square stock holding the flap on it, just cut it down to fit and pull the pin.
