They're big and heavy. You'd be better off using 80 series LC axles as they're stronger, but also wider.

Make sure you don't have one with the ball and claw front end, lousy turning radius and impossible to find parts for.
Aussie Lockers has a nice locker for the FJ axles I believe.

88' Zuk 16v efi full width dana 44 axles and 37"s,hybrid exo cage, comp cut rear -18", F&R fox air shocks , jegs poly seats, sk automatic trans, 6.5:1 t case, twinsticks, 100" wheelbase with a 79" wide.

I have a little bit earlyer set laying out in the yard,the rear end is a c clip type so to help with that you can put disk brakes on the back and call it good.

I have to convert the front to disc... and get steering for it... The rear will go on this weekend, front maybe the week after...
