Struts For Lifted Tracker

Does anyone Have a good Idea for Aftermarket struts for a lifted geo tracker short wheel base soft top.Does anything cross over from another vehicle that is longer?
OME struts are way over priced as far as I,m concerned.I am doing a 2" Ironman lift,with 2" spring spacers with homemade a-arm drop brackets and dif drop ETC.

  THE OME STRUTS MAY BE EXPENSIVE BUT THEY ARE WELL WORTH IT.GREAT RIDE,HANDLING AND CONTROL ON AND OFF ROAD.THERE ARE MANY THREADS WITH PEOPLE USING DIFFERENT SET UPS.EVERYTHING FROM VEHICLE SWAPS TO OFF THE SHELF AFTERMARKET STUFF.

rumor has it that calmini is coming out with a new longer travel front strut. i have the bds kit on my truck and it works good. the only advantage with the OME struts is you get more travel than a stock strut.

The stock bump stops prevent the last 2" of strut travel from being used. The spacers drop the top of the strut down and allow all the travel to be used. If you fit the OME struts with no spacers then you will actually get less travel than with stock struts and 2" spacers.

How do you figure OME struts give you less travel than stock struts with 2" spacers?

   OME STRUTS HAVE 1.5 INCHES MORE LENGTH AND TRAVEL THAN STOCK STRUTS AND THEY RIDE GREAT

Maybe I didn't word that very well. I was referring to strut spacers/extensions. The strut spacers give you 2" of extra travel, the OME stuts give you 1.5" of extra travel. The pic below shows the strut with the spring removed and the wishbone hard up against the bump stop. The stock strut has 6" of travel but only uses 4", when you lower it with the spacers you get to use the whole 6" of travel.




Of course you can combine the OME strut with spacers you get even more travel but you really do need to watch your CV angles. I have the OME struts on the Calmini 3" kit and there wasn't enough travel to run the 2" Calmini spacers. I'm going to try some 1" spacers but it seems a shame to still have 1" of strut travel unused.

The OME struts are good but if your stock struts are good and you just want more travel then compare the cost of the OMEs and the strut spacers - no contest, spacers win every time - far less money for more travel.

The only place I have found to buy the spacers online is Sky and a guy from the Ukraine on E-Bay, BDS doesn't sell them off their web site apparently.  They don't even list the part number anymore.

Is everyone just making their own spacers or getting them with kits?

Here's 2" of down travel for about $20
4-Chevy 3-bolt exhaust flanges
6-3/8"x2.5" bolts & nuts(drilled the holes bigger than stock)
