Money not an issue...
« on: May 21, 2007, 07:11:17 PM »
If money wasn't an issue I'd be designing a front end around this differential housing.

It houses a Ford 9" third and can be ordered with either CV flanges or U-Joint flanges.  The price list for this housing showed $1650.00 :o :o :o

Well I guess it won't happen on my salary.  Sure would be cool though.

I almost forgot the link:

Well hell, since money isn't an issue....

I'd design front AND rear around it, and give the old Tracker 4 wheel independant suspension.

While we are at it, incorporate 4 wheel steering, and for kicks.... custom portal axles too

Man, I'd make such a good rich person....

All kidding aside, I have really kicked around the idea of a "Star" type Tracker, with anvil cases at both ends, encorporating 4 wheel steering (hydro in back) and 4 wheel independant suspention.  Might not make the worlds best crawler, but I think it would be damn near unstoppable on tight twisty trails
