newbie zuki owner with a couple of ????
« on: May 24, 2007, 09:36:44 AM »
Hi, I'm a newwwb in here cause I just bought an 88 sammy.  Body is in pretty nice shape, no major cancer and engine looks ok.  Guy I bought it from said engine quit electrically and he was gonna make project truck for his son, but just didn't have the time.  I got it for 6 benjamins and am already removing stuff to get a look at what might be the culprit electrical gremlin.  With the amount of wires I have found cut, there is no doubt that it is something stoopid.  Anyone know where I can get a schematic of the base wiring set-up so that I can trace wiring out.  Right now I have found that the hot wire to the  starter (from the ignition switch) is not attached to the starter.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Future mods are gonna be SPOA lift, 31 inch tires and getting the factory A/C working again (got lucky to find one with A/C....

Looking forward to many future posts.

Gary

My newest chiltons manual has a complete wiring harness schematic. If you don't wanna buy one, your local public library probably has one.I would buy one however as they are a really handy item to have around.good luck with your wiring!
