When I was in high school i actually made my front end tilt like your talking about. I ran a piece of metal all the way across the bottom core support and i used some sammy door hinges that were cut (like for easy door removal) so when you fliped it all the way up you could slid it to one side and take it completly off. I only cut the fenders out around the bottom hinges, you could pull it out enough to clear when you opened it. I had some rubber tie downs on it like on the side of the hoods on big trucks. It was pretty trick !!! It was light enough you could pull it off and put it on by yourself. If i can find some pics of it ill post them. that was way back it 1987 though. LOL
