daydreaming...
« on: December 08, 2004, 01:51:16 PM »
Growing up in the sixties, I always admired the old car-based 50's and 60's panel delivery wagons that disappeared with the coming of the light vans in the mid 60's.

I was looking at a picture of a Kick 4dr, and thought that by welding the back doors shut, filling in the body seam and blanking out the rear door and quarter windows with sheet metal it would make a nice looking panel truck.

Might be an nteresting summer project if the right truck fell in my lap.

Any opinions?

That could be interesting, and old kicks are pretty easy to come by cheap.

Man i think that would be awesome. Totally original and if you throw in a modest lift and some fat meats it would look bitchin.
You can take the Sammy off the trail, but you cant take the trail out of the Sammy.

4WHOR had found a early/mid 70's, lifted it, added flames, then decided to remove the top and back panels. Just the opposite of what you are looking into.

Cool Idea 8) I think that would look cool. We have a new club member that inly builds abd drives ols Dodge Power Wagons. He's got a few different ones to drive depending on the difficulity of the trails he is going to hit. It gets alot of looks on the trail.

Sounds different, and I like different.  Also sounds like it might be fun.

I thought of that a couple of years ago. Except I was thinking of having the side windows made into sigle pieces, and tinted for vision reasons. It is a cool idea though isn't it  ;D

You could also paint it gold, stick wood grain sticker on the sides, with trim. Then go cruising for chicks  8)

Hummmmm...

Gold with woodgrain...

How did you know that would match my camper???
