 8) Hi team
Ive just joined the forum, although not new to 4wding as I run my own 4wd tour company here in NZ, but have just purchased my first vitara, having spent over 20 years with other 4wd vehicles.

I havent taken delivery of the Vitara as yet so maybe you lot can answer a few questions for me.
It's a 1991 "sold NZ new" 5 door LWB model, so here are some questions.

Havent had a chance to look at the chassie number so can someone tell me what model ive got?
I know dumb question on the face of it, but im sourcing parts and it will be two weeks before I see the vehicle, so this is the quick way to get the info.

Secondly what is the standard wheel size and offset for this wagon ?

Have no idea what model you have. They varied. Ask the person your purchasing it from. The wheels should be five on five (same as fords)
'96 4 door kick: 29" Pep-Boys M/T, 1.5" OME
'83 SJ410: 31" Toyo M/T, SPOA, 1.3L

Wheels are most probably 5.5"x15" with 105mmm backspacing. Models vary between countries, 1991 NZ may well have a 1.6 8V carburettor engine. US 1.6 models were all EFI.

Is it? Sometimes us foreigners struggle  ;D ;D Oh yeah, 105mm = 4.1", us Brits are always mixing our units, lol.
