Unfortunately I didn't bring the digital camera
However here in Winnipeg Manitoba, there arne't too many Trackers (especially newer) who do wheeling
Basically only the real hard core samurai guys (of whom usually have swapped out engines with a toy 22re, transfer case and axels)
I went out with a bunch of zr2 sonoma's, s10s blazers etc.. who are slightly modified with larger tires and a couple Jeep YJ's and a Landcruiser Fj40 (circa 1976)
I brought out my pure stock tracker w/ just some aggressive 235/75/15 aird down to 18psi
well....
I had a blast, I guess with the 235's from the stock 205 tires, I had enough clearnace at about close to 9" and managed to get through some pretty thick snow without any problems, and was able to climb stuff i'd never imagine possible with this truck
while those zr2's were having issues climbing, where they'd be spinning i'd just be using 4wheel low 2nd gear to just craw up these hills
everyone was like... holy shit it's a stock tracker?
what I liked best, was how everyone but the jeeps had auto and could not compression break, nor engine retard their decent on our slippery sand pits, and a couple came pretty darn close to rolling
where I just kinda treaded along
i'm really surprised, and so was everyone, a couple people even asked if I had a rear locker
nope just open diff's and a transfer case
best part was I never even needed to come close to having to refill, where those 4.3 zr's were burning gas like it was going out of style
especially a jeep, ultra modified but had a crappy driver, who put a 327 dual 600cfm carbd engine and dana 44's
he barely went wheeling for more than 30 minutes and said, yup I gotta go

no samurai's went, but I know they go through anything like laxatives err... butter
I was not impressed with the jeeps, I  am pretty sure they were just newbs who spent big bucks to buy their rigs
one was hugely lifted TJ, with dana 44, coil over axel, with rear arb, front spool, and had 4.10 r&p, big ole rock rails, bull bar, the works and 35" MTR's
but the damned thing had problems going through the sand pits, where I just chugged away, it just spun all 4 wheels... unbelieveable, how about letting some of that air out of your tires buddy
the coolest vehicle there though, was for sure the landcruiser FJ40

it's like a big samurai

he basically has a FJ40 from 76, with rear eaton magnetic locker, spun over, with 35" Toyo Open country mt's
I think the front bumper is custom with a winch mount
but yah it's like a huge samurai
same concept, in fact he is also a zuki fan as his son mod's up his samurai
the FJ40's front axel, made the dana 44 upgrade on the Tj look like a joke
jeeze it was like the size of a Dana 60, and I belive it uses a gear transfer case rather than chain
solid vehicle
anyways... I think i'm going to throw in a lockright and get some armour for some more heavy duty wheeling
I think the 235/75/15 seems to work pretty good for the deep snowy area as I seem to dig decently
