i got a 94, 2 door, 8v kick, last weekend i snapped my clutch cablei replaced it last monday, had to retighten on tuesday morning cause it had a hard time shifting in to gear i figured this was due to the cable streching out which i had anticipated, then i had to tighten again on wendsday morning, which i figured was strange but i understood it, then i had to tighten up again on thursday afternoon which was kind of tripping me out then i had to adjust again on friday cause it wouldn't go in to gear again (it would jump when i started it in gear so i knew the clutch wasn't fully dissengaging), then on friday afternoon something weird happened, where the end of the clutch cable meets the pedal were nolonger in continuous contact leading me to believe that the slpines on the pedal bar that connect to the hook that holds the end of the cable had been stripped out. i removd the entire clutch pedal, which was a bitch, and found that the end of the bar connected to the pedal with the splines on it that connects to the hook piece has almost been completely sheered off! i don't know what to do, i don't have a welder (one of my friends does he could weld it for me), i called a local auto parts store they don't have any listing of even an entire clutch pedal which im pritty sure needs to be replaced, i guess i got to just go to the junk yard and see what i can find. how did this happen though? my clutch has always seemed extremely hard to press but i feel like i'm a pritty strong guy so i haven't really had any problems with it (the last saftey check i had to go get the lady doing the check couldn't push the clutch all the way in so she had to leave it in first the whold time). any suggestions?
