RUF/CJ Rear, someone done this?
« on: June 26, 2007, 08:34:20 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has swapped the Sami rears up front and ran CJ Springs on back, I know is a common swap but what parts do you need? Want to run 33's and I found some CJ leafs. I use the rear CJ leafs right? And finally, what's the cost of the swap or is it about the same price to do the RRO JeepEater Suspension with YJ leafs?

It depends on if you buy it or build it yourself.  If you already have the springs your halfway there, some scrap metal and you should be able to make it all fit.

The main question is if you want to move your axle at the same time you install the springs.

hello, its my first post yhea
i just installed the rro jeep eater kit. here are my problems with it. 1, no sleaves for the front frame braket bushing, i called to ask if i was missing the sleave and how to tighten it up they did not know and said to "leave it loose"and "I guess you will have to find your own way to fix it". 2, the axle is only moved forward 1/8 inch so my 33's are going to rub when spring is compressed. i asked before i bought kit they said axle was ajustable with their spring plates "stock or an inch forward". 3 shocks that are in the kit are to soft in the rear have not called about that yet but i have asked for the compression and rebound ratings and they did not know. 4, 3/8 bolts instead of 7/16 for the driveshaft spacers, its been 2 weeks still have not gotten the right ones in the mail. 5, all bolt are grade 5 or less except ubolts they said on the phone hardware was grade 8.  I wish i could send it all back and get the trail tough kit. there brakets look better made in the pictures i have seen. i'm not trying to bash rro these are just my experinces.
