Rockstar Question...
« on: June 30, 2007, 04:37:11 AM »
After reading the buildup on the Rockstar, I was wondering if it still ran the stock rear axle and shafts? It mentioned that lockers were installed, but thats all. If so, how is the axle holding up to 35's? I am debating how to build mine up with a limited budget. Would love to have something like the Rockstar but on 33's, but before I start, I want to have a plan all laid out and see how realistic it is for me to do. Thanks.

The rockstar has changed quite a bit since then.

Here is the thread. http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=14245.0

The rear axle is quite durable when the vehicle is streched out and lightened like that. I ran the 40s for a few months on the stock rear axle. I broke one axle but I was gettin on it pretty good.

The stock front cvs can handle 33s pretty safely but beyond that I would get Stans (37kicker)toyota cv conversion. Weve been able to run 40s reliably with them.

Just in case you didnt know our club has several similar chassis builds to this one. All of them have been great rigs.
