I have a 94 tracker with the 1.6L  8V and i was wonderin if I could advance or retard the timing to make it have more power? Is this posible?  Thanks guys

Yes you can.

There should be a locking bolt on the side of the distributor that, when loosened, allows the distributor to be rotated causing advance and retard action.

The ECU may not appreciate the adjustment so the results might not be to your liking.   :-\
