Help needed testing a Sidekick-Tracker ECM
« on: July 13, 2007, 10:13:45 PM »
I believe the ECM on my 92 Sidekick has gone bad, but cannot be sure. I went ahead and replaced the Cap's, but still cannot get the vehicle started.

The in-tank Fuel pump is working good because fuel is pumped to the Throttle body when I manually activate the pump relay. The vehicle suddenly stopped working when the day before it was fine.

Is there anyone local to the Boise area that can help me test my ECM?

I want to plug my ECM into your vehicle. If my ECM is good then your vehicle should start as normal. Then I can look elsewhere on my rig for a problem.

I recall that a 1991, 92 and 1993 sidekick/tracker ECM are compatible.
Mine is a manual transmission, but an Auto vehicle will also start and run using a manual ECM.

You can also contact me direct at drr63|removethispart|@hotmail.com

Thanks!
Don.

Am I the only guy on this forum driving a 91 to 93 Kick-track in the Boise area?

Sure need to find a way to test this ECM locally.
