SidekickvsSamurai

Alright heres my problem. Ive been looking to buy another samurai for a couple months now (used to own one, now i miss it). My dad recently bought a samurai (he owns a sidekick at the time). He is using the wheels and tires along with a few other misc things off the kick for the samurai. The sidekick has a pro-comp 4" suspension lift, along with a lock-rite locker in the rear and is currently running 31x10.50 MT's. Now my question is do I, A) Get the sidekick off my dad for little to no cash, buy some new meats and rims, custom bumpers and what not. Or B) Buy a samurai with the cash i have saved up, then sell my car, and with that money mod it.? Regardless the Rx-7 is going up for sale. Im just on the fence of either samurai or sidekick, Any opinions?

If you don't go really extreme, the kick will get you places you wouldn't imagine... It may be cheaper to build a sami more extreme than a kick...  I love my sami... and those kicks are pretty cool.

Since you say that you are selling the RX7, it sounds like you might need to use your truck for a daily driver.

I had a Samurai years ago, and now I have a Tracker.  Take my word for it, the Tracker is a much better DD than a Sami.  I would suggest that you get the Kick for next to nothing, add a 2" spacer lift and 30's, and call it done.  Throw some armor plate under it and It will take you just about anywhere you want to go.

If you want to do crazy stuff, it's probably best to go for the Sami and build it to the hilt...

Cheaper is best man, save your cash for a downpayment on a house that will earn you money in the long run and run the shit out of the tracker. It already has a locker and a lift man, just add rims and tires and your set for tons of fun and action.

I love and have owned both. Two samis and my current sidekick. The sami is probaly better as a trail rig than the sidekick but the sidekick is SO MUCH better as a driver.

Anyway you can get some specs/pics to me on that lift?  I haven't heard of a Pro Comp 4" lift for Sidekicks.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.   ;D

I loved all my Sami's but the Kick is a better all around rig, IMHO.

I like my 88 sammie for off road but not for long trips say over 100 miles or so and it has a 16 valve engine in it, I find myself driving the wifes 4 door kick alot more often with the 33 mpg and the airconditioning, the down side is she won't let me lift it but if I had my own 4 door I would build it, they come stock with the 16 valve and you can sleep in it and haul alot more stuff in it and automatic trans if you want to be lazy, she has been driving the x-90 that she picked up and loves the thing, I think the x-90 would make a nice wheeler also  ;D , she won't let me lift it either, oh well.
