I'm wanting to put 5.12's in my GV, there are a couple things I'm confused on so let me ask...


To install 5.12's into my 2000 GV I really only need just the front R&P gears (installed on my GV carrier) from any year trackick or from 96-98 if I want to use the trackick carrier instead of my GV carrier?

For the rear, any 3rd member will bolt up but the 92 - 98 12 bolt may be stronger?

94 and earlier Track/Kicks will have a 22 spline front 3rd member and 95 and beyond will have a 26 spline 3rd member. Look for the 26 spline for a bit of extra strength as it will be a 12 bolt as well. 89-91,92? Track/Kicks have a 10 bolt rear and 92 and up will have a 12 bolt rear... (correct me if I am wrong) and will be the best years to look for these parts. As for yer GV... I am not sure of the Spline count on the front diff... I read somewhere the GV and XL7 have a certian year they went to a 28 spline front 3rd member but unsure of the years right now.
