Hello there, my name is John and I am new to this Forum.
I have had an 86 Zuk for over 10 years now, and it has been a project ever since. With the combination of mind changing, and customers rides, I can never get anything done. Hopefully some of you can relate.
Anyway, I came across a good deal years ago and picked up a 2000 4.3 V-6 with 4x4 auto tranny out of a rolled s-10. This unit has only 13,000 miles on it.
Originally I had a harness made up for the engine to run "stand alone" so I could use an older tranny. Because of this, the harness needed a speed sensor, a ratio converter box, and some other crap. (timing, emssions are controlled via the tranny)
Now, since I already have a 4x4 tranny, should I use that ?
Or should I run an older TH350 or 700 with the Zuk T/C ??
I screwed up with the harness, because now I would have to send the harness back and have it re-wired to use the original tranny. Since I have a 4l60 now, it would make sence to use it. Also the ECM would have to be re-reprogrammed. I had the VATS removed, as well as the "tranny' removed.
I heard of people using a Dana300 with an AA kit...what you guys think ??
Any suggestions ??
John
