Hey Guys,
A garage scanned my ECU and it read that the engine was running cold. ECU was saying it was only 60 degrees or something, when it should be running 150-180 after being warmed up. It has a new thermostate, coolent temp sensor. The coolant is actually at operating temperature, but the ECU doesn't report this.
My sunrunner is a 1995, and has the 1.6L 16 valve engine.
Any ideas what going on? I hope its not a bad ECU!
I should mention that around that time I had a check engine light, the usual- EGR valve. I cleaned the exhaust manifold, and the hoses running to the solonoid up front and cleared the EGR check engine light. But the engine still seems to be running hot, the check engine oil comes on after a hard drive sometimes.
Thanks in advance for any ideas you guy have, your better than any mechanic I go to!
