How do you get the gauge cluster out on a 2002?

Going to be putting my Yellow Box speed recalibrator in our 2002 XL7.  I need access to the wires going into the gauge cluster.

How do you get to all of this?  I guess I'm asking how the dash comes apart so I can get at the instrument/gauge cluster's wiring.  Typically of Japanese car makers my gin-u-whine 2002 Suzuki XL7 maintenance manual set says NOTHING about how to do this. :P

There are two screws hidden behind the little rubber curtain above the steering column (you can see the holes below the cluster in the photos below) and two above the cluster (their holes are also visible below).  The trim bezel is mainly just pry-out after that.

So, I recalled some shmuck on this forum had some sort of trouble with a Yellow Box at one point.  I searched for it to give you the heads-up.

Turns out.....it was you.  Heh.

What did you ever find out about this?

Nothing really.  There's another sensor in the driveline somewhere forward of the rear t-case output.  It's purpose, as near as I can tell, is to make sure either the transmission output and the t-case rear output are spinning at the same speed or that the rear and forwards t-case outputs are spinning at the same speed.  Apparently changing the speed signal coming from the rear output made it in conflict with the front signal and that caused the check engine light.

Never did nail down the reason or location of the other setup.  I know on '99 GV's this wasn't an issue but on '03's it was.  On our '02 XL7 I decided screw it and we'll just throw it in the dash and cross our fingers.
