Alignment Issue
« on: August 17, 2007, 05:37:29 PM »
I had my OME Suspension installed and used Boondox Camber bolts but can't get a good alignment. I used the same parts as Rockmolester used on his Kicks. I'm not sure if the installer here in Costa Rica knew what he was doing with the bolts or not, my spanish sucks and we had a major communication problem. I may have to have the bolt holes on the strutt opened up a bit so he can get a good alignment, will this be ok? The negative camber on the passenger side is noticable. The drivers looks ok. I have a brand new set of 31" Pro-Comp 12.5" Wide on 10" Pro-Comp Wheels going on after I do my Calmini Bodylift and I don't want to be wearing them out prematurely. Sidenote - After ordering my 31's I was kinda kicking my self for not going a little bigger but....these things are huge compared to the cookie cutters on there now. I will post a bunge of picks in a few days after its all together. I also have a ARB locker going in the rear on Monday and next week I should receive my Shrockworks bumper and Ramsey 8000#Winch. Still waiting for my Calmini rear bumper with tire carrier to be shipped, couple more weeks probably. Thanks for any input to my alignment woes.

You can notch your struts to accomodate the camber change but if you have the cam bolts it shouldn't be nessacery. They should be installed in the top bolt position or you can notch out the top hole, be carefull when doing so as not to get to thin. You can also notch the three strut mounting holes at the top but it is generally used only for caster and not the best way in any respect. goodluck                                   NMc
