$7 swing-away Track/kick Mirrors
« on: November 23, 2004, 03:18:24 PM »
I broke my 2nd mirror off in the woods recently and didn't have the $$$ needed to replace it with a junkyard direct replacement(they are charging too much for parts these days...). At Walmart, I found screw on, swing-away style mirrors for $7 each, universal left or right. I mounted one just below where the stock mirror was and plan to cover the stock mirror's location with a trim plate. The mirror is a little smaller than stock, but works fine and will fold flat against the window if needed. I'll post some pics tomorrow, too dark to take them tonight.
Had a cool sig pic till I changed the text... sigh...

Manufacturer's Championship was who? Wasn't Ford :P Busch can drive the wheels off any car it doesn't matter that  he 'currently' drives a Ford ;) Still he isn't my favorite driver but he was consistent and ummm....what's the word...er...um...LUCKY ;)

Sure there are good Ford parts, 80's F-150 and fullsize bronco rims are a good example! They fit our rigs! LOL!

I just unbolt my mirrors when I think they are at risk. There is only 3 screws holding them on. Several times during the UA I had my mirrors off. On page 52 of the november Issue you can see in the photo the mirror was off. Good thing too cause I was about 1/8 inch away from the paint on the door. :P
