best soft top options???
« on: August 18, 2007, 09:19:55 PM »
Well i've decided my 95 kick needs a new top.  actually it needed it about 2 years ago...So it REALLY needs one now.  Well being a 1995 i'm blessed with the uber expensive versa-top.  So since I'm going to have to shill out a minimum of $300 for the top i want to make sure it's it's a top quality one that will last a while.  I'd also like it in white and tinted windows.  I could live without the tinted/smoked windows but must have the white top (black get TOO HOT in the summer)

So where is the best place to get a new white top?  and what brand should i look for?

I also have a '95 Kick that I just received my new soft top for. A link is below for the exact top that I ordered. I got it in white with the smoked windows. After opening the package I was impressed with the quality..so far. If the weather is good tomorrow I will have it on and can put up a pic or two if you'd like. Cheers.

They look very dark, I haven't taken the protective wrap off them yet cause I've had them laying on the floor to get them flat after being rolled up for shipping.

Heres a couple of pics of the new top. It looks great, a real pain to get on for the first time with the material being new.

Definately very happy with the choice I made, and they shipped very fast after ordering. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I like the Sunport top the most, if I ever get a chance to buy a used one, I'd switch. I wouldn't be aloud to shell out retail for one  >:( LOL The "purchasing department" might have an issue with that

Wow Rod that does look awesome.  With all that white and black your truck looks like a moon buggy monster truck.

You can tint them yourself!  $15 or so for the cling type at Walmart.  My daily driver has been been running that tint for a few years now.  Especially easy to do with the zip out windows!

Not sure how well it would work, but you can buy spray tint for painting windows in RC cars. Works good on the cars but with a big surface area it might be hard to get an even spray on it.

Really.... I didn't know it would cling to the plastic, I thought it would wrincle because the window is flexable

Works great!  I take my windows in and out and even roll the back window and the tint sticks well and doesn't wrinkle.
