Hagen widening question??
« on: November 14, 2007, 06:55:32 PM »
I have read Hagens widening article many many times but i still don't understand something.  He mentions flattening the frame and drilling a new hole ONLY on the crossmember where the REAR of the a-arm mounts??  Is this correct??  Is there any modification the the front a-arm mounts??  If I picture both rear a-arm mounts on both sides of the vehicle having this done, the front of the a-arms will sit inward toward the engine.  I'm just not understanding how this moves the wheels an inch forward.  Can someone please give me a definite explanation on how this works?  Thanks..

Yes it is only the rears. If you moved the front it wouldnt move the tires forward at all.

If your not living life to the fullest then your not living at all.

You wont really know if your wrong till your upsidedown

Its magic, you just have to believe.

OK, maybe not, But it does work, Just do the mod then you can see for yourself.

The A arm is essencially a triangle If you move one of the points out an inch and leave one point fixed the third point will move by the same amount as the first point was moved, in this case out and forward.
