what years will fit
« on: November 12, 2004, 08:43:24 AM »
i need to get a front diff. assembly and axles for my track. Does anyone know what years they are the same for, i am also assuming that a kick assem. will work also.  I have a 94 track 16v.  Also, anyone from nepa know of any junkyards that would have this, I really don't want to waste a trip down to harrys if i don't have to.

If you get a diff and axles from the same
vehicle it really doesn't matter, all the diffs
will fit and work thru 97 or 98 at least.

What might make a difference is if you want
the strongest available, then you want the
26 spline axles and diff section

If only you weren't so far away.  I  have all that stuff sitting in pile on my garage floor.

are axles for the track going to be the right lengths with a diff from a gv?  what i mean is, is the GV diff going to be a direct replacement for my truck?  It would be great to have a steel diff., so this doesn't happen again.

You can use the steel housing and 3rd with your tracker carrier/gears/axles (from what I understand.... I could be wrong), since the steel housing comes in auto GV's, which have a different gear ratio than the manual version.
