Sidekick hood latch help!!
« on: November 28, 2007, 08:05:36 AM »
Any one know how to release the hood latch when the cable has come out of the latch itself? Will I need to remove the grill and if so, how do I get the thing out? Or will I need to reach up behind the grill to get at it? I need to get under the hood tonight and have to figure this out by then.

TIA

It's a 95.

If my memory serves me correct there should be a phillips screw in the top center and a 10mm at each lower corner that you can access through the bumper area that goes through the fender. Then it should pop out. It does have some clips holding it in that are kinda fragle so pull gentle. If they break it aint that big of a deal cause the 3 screws do a pretty good job.

Thanks for the replies, I got the grill out and the hood latch mated back with the cable.

The dang grill come out a heck of a lot easier than the Sammy grill does.
