What tires are those, and how are they working out for you? Are you locked in the diffs?

I am sure it is not locked as the cable chains are on the pass. side rear and the drivers side front. That is unless the other cables were lost.

A word of advice, lower your tire PSI to around 5psi and you will not need those cable chains and that Sammy will go dang near any where. Locked or unlocked. ;D

it is locked in the rear (spool).... but nothing in the front..... I just wanted to test out the chians to see how they would do...... but yeah, your completely right, we didnt need the chians at all considering we took everything in 2WD..... I just now want all the snow to melt so I can get some mud

I bought it with the tires....

the say they are BFG MTs and the tread is similar but not quite, and my spare says BFG AT and it has the exact same tread (definitely no AT)

and I also found a website that has retreaded tires..... it is this exact same tread style so I believe they are retreads..... but in reality, what do I care and when I need or want some new ones I will probably just buy those cheap ass retreads for 60 bucks a piece (31/10.5/15 MTs)

you're killing me... Tahoe will take all the snow that you don't want.

was it quite a bit easier to get the rear out since the wheelbase is about half of that of a truck?

The tread pattern on the BFG MTs changed a few years back.

We rarely get much snow down here in SE England, maybe I should move to Scotland!

I'm pretty sure those are retreads from High-Tec.  I have them as well, but mine are on Michelin LTX carcasses.  They look like the OTR, which is what mine are.  I've had good luck with them.

yeah there is also a website called like tread-right or something like that and they had the exact same tread, just on michilans as well

but hey they are similar to bfg tread and they do perfectly fine for me (and are cheap as hell)

You mean from these guys?

http://treadwright.com/default.aspx

The tread doesn't look all that thick. I have heard their customer service isn't the best if you have a problem with there tire. How much did it cost to have it mounted locally?

I'm worried about using them, 'cause I hear it's REALLY bad to use retreds while under-inflated. I plan on running my tires at 8-10 PSI with regularity on the trail.....

I found This on the website,

Can I air these tires down?
Airing the tires down will void any warranty, however, JP Magazine tested our 31x10.50R15 aired down without any problem and many of our customers do this without any problems. The tires will perform like a new tire.

I don't know to much more about them I have considered trying them but I want the Trexus MT for lil Suzy. They seem to have a lot of positive testimonials on the site from satisfied customers.

Be careful running retreads on the front.  Although a sammy might not go fastenough to throw the tread it is a possibility
If its not broken, break it
