Wheel offset.

Does anyone know what the offset of a 85 jeep cj would be and how the stock metal spoke jeep wheels would look on a tracker?

Offset is measured from the back of the wheel mounting area to the back of the rim where the bead sits.

They will look good on your truck only if you like the way they look on your truck.

If you don't, they won't. ;)

That's backspacing.  Offset is the distance from the mounting pad to the centerline of the wheel.

Granted, My mistake, The measurements both get you to the same place though. You need to know the back spacing to figure the offset.

More or less.  I was just clarifying.  Most off road style wheels will be sold with backspacing measurements, not offset though.

That is what through me off, I thought he meant backspacing.

I thought most on here were using rims with a 3-3 1/2" offset  and the pics I have seen the rigs looked good .I was wondering what the off set was on stock 85 cj spoked rim? I want the rim to sit out more than the stock Tracker rim.
