Haynes or chilton?
« on: June 13, 2005, 05:46:33 AM »
hay i am going to rebuild an 8V motor starting on the 15th, just bought all the parts-  and want to know is the haynes or chilton better information, its all basicaly the same one motor to anouther but I want to check clearances and such.

And yes I will start a post tomorrow, with pics every step of the way, all the way to reseating the valves, and honing the cylendars if nesecary. "and if i can find my hone"  and its been about 3 years sence last I riped into a motor, so its about time. and then I wont have to worrie about it.

All things must start and end, the key is to not let them start and end in the same place.

Other rigs, 84 Sub 305 High output dana 44 front dana 60 rear turbo 350 tranny, 205 gear drive transfer, 10" lift 38.5 swampers

but i got  new stem seals for the valuves anyway.
